American Constructors’ Story

American Constructors was founded in 1979 with the objective to build quality facilities for select clients in an open and honorable way. Over the last 43 years we’ve completed over 700 projects in excess of $3 billion dollars. We are as known for our numerous educational, civic, religious, and healthcare facilities as we are for building such landmarks as the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. We were founded as an employee-owned company and remain so today, which means all of us have a vested interest in being client-focused and achieving excellence on every project.

Qualifications

• Minimum field experience of 1 to 2 commercial projects as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent is required.
• You’d love to work on a wide variety of projects here in Middle Tennessee where you’ll learn to design better projects and not simply build to plan.
• Strong desire to be mentored by working closely with one of our highly experienced and long-tenured Senior Superintendents.
• You take pride and ownership for your work and want to work with other like-minded individuals in a firm where you can be an owner too.
• Minimum of HS degree or GED.

Key Functions

• Work closely and assist one of our highly experienced Senior Superintendents onsite with one of our Middle Tennessee projects.
• Gain experience in a wide range of projects from LEED Certified, Athletics, Churches, Community, Education, Healthcare, Office, Performing Arts, Retirement.
• Learn all aspects of construction from value engineering and design work at project inception through coordination and management of the trades in the construction phase.
