Romano Stancroff PC is a consumer-protection law firm and seeks an associate attorney to assist with its busy litigation practice and help provide outstanding legal representation to its clients. The position may involve all aspects of litigation, including:

· Attending hearings and conferences, including arguing motions,

· Taking and defending depositions,

· Updating clients on their cases,

· Negotiating settlements and assisting with settlements,

· Managing cases and ensuring all deadlines are met,

· Attending mediation sessions,

· Preparing discovery responses,

· Meeting and conferring,

· Drafting trial documents,

· Drafting correspondence,

· Drafting motions and oppositions, and

· Trying cases or assisting with trials.

The firm will provide any necessary training as well as mentorship to ensure that the associate is successful. The firm is based in metropolitan Los Angeles but handles cases throughout the state. The position, therefore, may occasionally involve travel throughout the state. One year of litigation experience is required.

The firm is looking for someone who is

· passionate about helping consumers,

· detail-oriented,

· self-motivated,

· well organized,

· able to meet deadlines, and

· able to multitask effectively.

Applicants must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical skills. Applicants also must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook as well as with Adobe Acrobat. Finally, applicants must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other members of the firm.

The position offers room for advancement as well as professional and financial growth: all current managing principals started in the same associate position being offered.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in California and be in good standing with the California State Bar. However, the firm will consider applicants awaiting the November 2025 bar examination results.

Applicants would be expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the office. The firm is open to remote work or a hybrid arrangement, but a proven track record of being able to work from home effectively is required.

Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
