About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate with 5-7 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation law to join our Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled litigator who’s passionate about helping injured workers, and ready to take ownership of a robust caseload in a fast-paced legal environment.

This role is best suited for somebody with a desire to build and lead our workers' compensation practice in Illinois.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a full caseload of Illinois Workers’ Compensation cases from start to finish
• Represent clients in arbitration hearings, pre-trials, and settlement negotiations
• Draft motions, responses, and other litigation documents
• Manage client communications, guiding them through the process and legal options
• Collaborate with experts, physicians, and internal teams to strengthen case strategy
• Monitor deadlines, filings, and procedural compliance
• Provide guidance to junior attorneys or legal assistants as needed

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) and respective state bar membership required
• Candidate must have at minimum of 4 years of experience handling workers' compensation claims
• Preference given to bilingual candidates

Requirements (Must Have):

• Strong client-facing experience in any field; ability to communicate clearly with our clients is a must
• Case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple clients, projects and deadlines
• Preferential consideration for deposition, hearing and mediation experience
• Superior organization skills with great follow through
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
