Muscle Car Restorations, Inc. (MCR) is seeking to hire a full-time Working Auto Body & Paint Shop Manager to join and lead our elite body/paint shop department. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on automotive management and body/paint experience along with a love and/or appreciation of classic automobiles.

MCR is a high-end restoration shop performing full custom restorations on a wide range of classic American muscle cars from Chargers, Cudas, Camaros, and Mustangs just to name a few. Muscle Car Restorations has been in the business of restoring high end vehicles for nearly 40 years. Our restorations have won top honors at car shows across the country and are regularly featured in countless online magazines including Hot Rod, Mopar Connection, Chevy Hardcore and many others. We are one of the largest and most respected restoration companies in the United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Body & Paint Shop Manager position is a working manager position and will require performing many primary job functions in addition to managing/training body and paint shop personnel.

Job Duties will include disassembly and metal finishing work to minimize body filler, full vehicle body and paint work, cut & buffing, and partial vehicle assembly as required. Manager will oversee all aspects of the body and paint shop operations including maintaining restoration process, managing and assisting/training technicians, managing project labor hours, quality control, weekly customer updates and vehicle information/record keeping.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

· 5-10 years of experience in the automotive restoration and/or collision industry

· Extensive high-end body work experience using hard and soft blocks

· Focus on productivity, done once, done right

· Extensive paint and paint blending experience

· PPG paint product experience and knowledge a plus

· Positive attitude, high quality work, organizational skills, problem solving, process flow and efficiency

· Excellent employee leadership, communication, and training skills

· Good computer skills, Windows Microsoft Office, etc.

· ASE certification or other professional training a plus

Education, Qualifications, Requirements:

· Education: 1-2 year Automotive Technical Degree or related preferred but not required. High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required

· Driver’s License: Class D – Driver license required with clean driving record

· Must show self-initiative and attention to detail

· Must be able to lift 25 lbs. continuously

Compensation/Benefits:

· Duration/Hours: Full-Time Position, 40 Hours/week minimum . Four-and-a-half-day work week. Overtime Required.

o Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm, & Friday’s 7am-11am (Summer Hours)

o Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm & Friday’s 8am-12pm (Winter Hours)
