Banquet Cook - Hilton McLean Tysons Corner job at Hilton. McLean, VA.

Our flagship property, Hilton McLean, is searching for a passionate Banquet Cook to join their team!

This well known, high profile hotel is located directly adjacent to Hilton's headquarters in the bustling area of Tyson's Corner in McLean, Virginia. The 458-room property boasts over 27,000 square feet of elegant meeting space and two food and beverage outlets. Reliable transportation is a must as shifts will often end after Metro & Bus closures. This is a union position!

Ideal candidate will be a team player who is passionate, hardworking, and has at least 1 year of banquet culinary experience. Prior culinary experience in hotel setting is preferred but not required.

Shift Pattern: This position will be overseeing AM and PM shifts. Full availability is required including weekends and holidays.

Pay Rate: $24.99 per hour

Responsibilities

As a Cook, you would be responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring quality control for hot food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare, maintain and monitor quality control for hot food items including, but not limited to, meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings
• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Prepare guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen and ensure plates are clean and appetizing
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
