Position Overview We are a mid-sized firmed based in Hartford, CT, seeking a skilled Commercial Transactions Attorney to join our legal team. In this role you will provide expert legal advice on a variety of commercial transactions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while effectively managing risks. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial law, with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate Transactions, and other corporate matters. Key Responsibilities - Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts
- Conduct due diligence for mergers and acquisitions transactions
- Advise on real estate transactions and compliance matters
- Perform legal research to support business objectives
- Manage regulatory affairs and ensure compliance with applicable laws
- Provide counsel on intellectual property issues
- Facilitate dispute resolution processes as needed
- Assess and manage risks associated with commercial transactions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align legal strategies with business goals
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Licensed to practice law in the state of CT
- 3+ years of experience in commercial transactions
- Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, real estate law, and corporate compliance
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
