Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr Job Title: Director of Finance Salary Range: $125,000 – $145,000 Job Type: Full-Time Location: Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations for a dynamic company in the hospitality and commercial real estate space. In this key leadership role, you'll take ownership of financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain rigorous internal controls while supporting strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence. Direct the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages. Ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls and corporate policies. Collaborate with third parties including lenders and investors, providing timely and accurate financial data as needed. Oversee company-wide accounting functions, including cash flow management and risk mitigation strategies. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of GAAP standards across all reporting and accounting functions. Monitor key performance indicators and provide financial insight to guide business decisions and budgeting. Evaluate and review leases, vendor contracts, and operating agreements to confirm alignment with financial terms and company objectives. Partner with executive leadership on forecasting, analysis, and long-term financial strategy. Support audits and manage all compliance-related reporting with federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee banking relationships and maintain the financial integrity of both company and asset-level accounts. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and coordinate across departments. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations, including GAAP. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to toggle between strategic and operational perspectives. High level of integrity, accountability, and professional judgment. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities. Comfortable working directly with executive stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Experience in financial planning, modeling, and performance measurement is strongly preferred. Ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly to leadership.
