\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work in a 24-bed emergency department with 4 critical care rooms and 1 trauma room
\n• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 for general ED, 1:2 or 1:1 for ICU patients depending on acuity
\n• Required to work every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday for days, Friday/Saturday for nights)
\n• Holiday requirements negotiable but must work some major holidays including July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day
\n• 2 on-call shifts per 28-day schedule required
\n• Float between east and west emergency departments only, generally pre-scheduled
\n• Block scheduling available but limited to no more than 4 consecutive shifts
\n• Minimum 2 years emergency department experience required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC
\n• Must demonstrate conscious sedation skills and critical thinking for AMI management
\n• Navy blue Dignity scrubs required
\n• Hospital orientation includes two days plus one 12-hour shift in each ED with mentor
\n• Charting system: Cerner
\n• Travelers allowed to perform triage after demonstrating capability
\n• Manage ED holds and work with intake model for lower acuity patients
\n• Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, minor trauma, and respiratory distress
\n• Work with ED techs, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and radiology staff
\n• Read own EKG strips and perform troubleshooting on respiratory equipment

\nThis healthcare facility operates as a Level 4 trauma center and STEMI receiving stroke center, providing comprehensive emergency medical services to the community. The emergency department treats 80-110 patients daily and features modern equipment including separate psychiatric seclusion rooms, 24/7 security presence, and adjacent radiology services. The facility maintains a collaborative care model with dedicated ED physicians, mid-level providers, skilled technicians, and respiratory therapists working together to deliver quality emergency care.
