This role is responsible for engineering leadership and technical direction to Marine Systems specializing in the development, manufacture, assembly and testing of propulsion and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines. The candidate selected will apply their skills to support current and future Navy Power & Propulsion Turbomachinery development with an integrated engineering team consisting of a diverse staff of backgrounds in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerothermal, Acoustics, Structural and Systems Engineers. In this role, the manager will develop and lead a group of engineers through the entire product lifecycle for complex hardware products to support the U.S. Navy. The position responsibilities include management of time keeping, performance reviews, staffing and resource planning, training, and team engagement. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated aptitude in areas of requirements and interface management and verification, design of fabricated and machined components, design of electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic subsystems, CAD modeling / drawing review, and successful execution of technical projects to cost and schedule targets.
