The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a part-time
Figure Drawing Model in the School of Art. The
Figure Drawing Model is responsible for posing nude for Figure Drawing 1 and Figure Drawing 2 students. These classes rely solely on a model for the work that students produce. The instructors use a variety of different poses to challenge students, the model's capability determines the level of challenge.
Key responsibilities for this position include: - Timely arrival to class sessions as arranged by Art Department faculty and/or staff;
- Takes direction to achieve a variety of different poses as the instructor chooses and holds poses for periods of time;
- Completes modeling session as required by the faculty member;
- Maintains ethical and professional behavior;
- Other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Will be based on the needs of the department and the availability of the applicant.
Hours per week: Up to 29
Qualifications: Required Qualifications: - Associate's degree or 60 credit hours completed
- The ability to hold a pose for twenty minutes at a time
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must follow directions
Preferred Qualifications: - Nude figure drawing model experience
Additional Notes: Anyone hired as a Figure Drawing Model cannot be currently enrolled as a student at Mohawk Valley Community College.
