Melody, a privately owned hearing clinic in Edmonton is currently seeking a part-time or full-time Hearing Aid Practitioner, Audiologist, or Student to join their practice.

We provide comprehensive care through a team of highly trained, designated healthcare professionals using state of the art resources and methods. We also aim to educate the public on prevention and awareness of hearing disorders.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Discussing hearing problems with clients and helping them adjust to hearing loss
• Using test instruments and standard evaluation procedures to test clients' hearing
• Identifying and evaluating hearing problems
• Discussing test results with clients, providing information about funding sources and helping clients select appropriate hearing aids or assistive listening devices
• Taking ear impressions for use in the manufacture of hearing aids
• Selling, fitting and adjusting hearing aids and assistive listening devices
• Providing ongoing support for the use of hearing aids and assistive listening devices
• Programming, servicing and making minor repairs on hearing aids and assistive listening devices
• Advising family physicians, ENT specialists, and other health professionals as required
• Maintaining professional equipment to industry standards.
• Participating in marketing and business development initiatives including presentations and developing strategy

Educational Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a recognized Hearing Aid Practitioner program and be registered with the College of Hearing Aid Practitioners of Alberta (CHAPA) as a practitioner in good standing.
