Job Description

Pre-requisite • Read Entry Level – Landscape Installation Position, or Similar Job Experience

In store grounds maintenance for LandmarkNursery and Landscaping is essentially a full-time job. This candidate should have the fundamentals of landscaping and maintenance understood.  This candidate should be able to operate and or maintain most of the hand tools and or power tools used in the landscaping industry.  This individual is tasked with keeping Landmark beautiful essentially. A passion must be had for working with plants and the subsequent needs this property seeks to look good year-round. We are constantly adding landscaping features and expanding the beauty of this facility.  If you love being a gardener and don’t mind working by yourself much, this may be the perfect job for you.

Qualifications:

• Able to comfortably lift 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Minimum (1+) years of landscaping and or nursery sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record is valued.
• Willing to work through unpleasant weather conditions on occasion.
• Must have good communication skills as well as good customer relation skills.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.
• Displays a positive, “can-do” demeanor.
• An occasional Saturday or Sunday may be asked of you during our busy months of May, June, September, and October.
• A chemical applicators license is valued but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Must understand and can demonstrate efficient techniques on general landscape processes which include planting, pruning, raking, mulching, weed barrier and rock installation, basic sprinkler work, boulder placement, basic grading and hand work, basic drainage installation.
• Weed control throughout property, landscape beds maintained throughout property.
• In ground tree production area is maintained, aid in tree growing operations.
• Facility is to be kept trash free and well groomed.
• Willingness to shift into other areas where team member support is needed as directed by leadership.
• The ability to perform at an efficient and quick pace.

Note:  This position is mostly characterized as apart time to full time seasonal role from the end of March to the end of November.

This can be a full time, part time and or seasonal position.  

An estimated wage of $15-25 per hour based on qualifications and work ethic.  Uniforms are supplied, you provide appropriate boots/shoes (with certain requirements), knife, and gloves.  A boot fund is offered after 1 year of employment with us.
