General Job Description Our model aspires to make learning fun and engaging and to grow the potential of our Teaching Fellows, staff, and students in a supportive environment. Instructional Coaches (ICs) are experienced and successful professional educators who provide content-specific support for BTM Teaching Fellows throughout the summer and engage fully in the BTM community. ICs dictate the level of fidelity, rigor, and consistency during BTM’s summer program through their interactions with Teaching Fellows. Exemplary ICs effectively communicate content specifics to Teaching Fellows, guide Fellows through effective planning and execution, and hold both Fellows and students to the highest standards. The IC managing Resiliency programming, in alignment with and advancing academic progress through our Scholar Success Plans, will work with all Teaching Fellows at the site and is expected to lead meetings, visit Fellows’ classes at least twice a week, evaluate advisory plans and Scholar individual Scholar check-ins, and meet individually with Fellows regarding their on-going work; all the while giving constant feedback and support. Since ICs are the professionals on-site, they are accountable for the quality of instruction BTM students receive and are responsible for supporting BTM Teaching Fellows through their teaching and advising experiences.
