About the Role We're seeking master hand knitters to join our atelier and craft exquisite, luxury knitwear for discerning clients. As a Hand Knitter at Melangestyle, you'll be part of a tradition of excellence, creating heirloom-quality pieces that showcase the finest in handcrafted luxury. Your work will directly contribute to garments that are cherished for their beauty, quality, and exceptional craftsmanship. Responsibilities Hand knit luxury garments and accessories to Melangestyle's exacting quality standards Execute complex patterns with precision, maintaining flawless gauge and tension throughout Work with premium fibers including cashmere, merino, alpaca, silk blends, and other luxury yarns Collaborate with our design team to bring creative visions to life Perform expert finishing techniques including seaming, blocking, and detail work Ensure each piece meets our rigorous quality benchmarks before final inspection Maintain meticulous attention to every detail, as befitting a luxury product Protect the integrity of our brand through consistent excellence Qualifications 5+ years of professional hand knitting experience, preferably in luxury or high-end knitwear Mastery of advanced knitting techniques including complex cables, intricate lace, colorwork, and shaping Demonstrated ability to produce flawless, consistent work with luxury fibers Expert-level pattern reading and interpretation skills Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to perfection Ability to work independently while maintaining brand standards Portfolio of previous work demonstrating technical excellence Preferred Skills Experience with couture or luxury fashion production Knowledge of garment construction and fit Familiarity with European knitting techniques and finishing methods Understanding of yarn characteristics and fiber behavior Experience working with delicate or specialty fibers What We Offer Competitive compensation commensurate with expertise (piece-rate or hourly) Opportunity to work with the finest materials and yarns Flexible work arrangements Be part of a respected luxury brand Creative collaboration with talented designers Professional development opportunities Work Arrangement Hybrid opportunity available with flexibility for remote work.
