Job Description

Become a Part of the NIKE, Inc. Team

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world's best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it's about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

The Materials Sourcing team sits within the Material Supply Chain (MatSC) organization. The Materials Sourcing team shapes the source base of materials suppliers that manufacture the thousands of materials within Nike's Footwear supply chain. The team is comprised of strategic thinkers who advance our mission of driving outsized opportunity across materials lead-time, cost, quality, and sustainability while integrating strategy and mitigating risk of source base disruption.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You will partner closely with Product Creation teams and Material Supply Chain teams to develop and refine strategy, and ensure alignment across the Nike organization. You will drive strategic supply chain projects to create a more responsive, responsible, resilient, and efficient materials supply chain, including country-level localization priorities. You will develop and deploy material sourcing strategies to scale innovation into inline products, including supplier evaluation and scalability assessment, leveraging cross-functional support for critical inputs such as material forecast, vendor capacity, costing and commercial agreements.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner closely with:

  • Materials Supply Chain teammates including Materials Sourcing, Materials Costing, Materials Planning, Materials Manufacturing, and Partner Management

  • Footwear Material Development

  • T1 Footwear Sourcing

  • Innovation teams to understand the landscape of what's coming next in materials for Nike

  • Sustainability to support achieving Nike's FY30 sustainability targets

  • Global Supply Planning

  • External Material Vendors

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

  • 7+ years of Sourcing, Costing, Manufacturing, or relevant experience in Materials

  • Strong material expertise in the Footwear industry required

  • Great knowledge of material suppliers landscape, with technical manufacturing expertise

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to go the extra mile to find solutions

  • Must be comfortable with navigating ambiguity, and have the ability to navigate through a complicated stakeholder matrix to achieve results and drive strategic decision-making

  • A team player to work collaboratively cross-functionally, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong growth mindset

  • Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills

  • Cultural awareness and a champion for diversity, inclusion, and belonging
