Wick Phillips is seeking a dedicated Legal Conflicts Analyst to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing conflict checks for new clients and lateral attorney hires, processing new client matter forms, drafting engagement letters, and handling retainers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring the firm meets its ethical obligations while maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and communication. Key Responsibilities Conduct Conflict Checks: Perform thorough and timely conflict checks using the firm’s accounting and conflict check systems to ensure compliance with ethical obligations and meet tight deadlines Analyze and Communicate Results: Evaluate conflict check results, articulate findings clearly to firm attorneys, and track timely responses Support Conflict Resolution: Collaborate with firm attorneys and the Risk Management Committee to resolve conflicts and draft ethical wall memorandums for review Manage Client Onboarding: Ensure all new clients and matters have completed client matter forms, engagement letters, and retainers prior to case opening Assist Accounting Department: Serve as backup support for billing overflow and special projects as needed Qualifications 3+ years of law firm experience with conflict checks Excellent internal customer service and interpersonal communication skills Strong editing and proofreading abilities Exceptional follow‑through and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment Experience with Microsoft Suite, billing software, and e‑billing systems Experience with conflict check software such as Coyote, Clio, PracticePanther, MyCase, etc. Wick Phillips is a full‑service business law firm founded in 2004, with nearly 100 attorneys across offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Austin.
