  • Starting Rate: $20.00 - 21.00 / hr

  • Type:  In-field, training provided
  • Status:  Full Time

About Us:

Good-2-Go Oregon (G2G) is a local, community-based support program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We help our clients access their community to achieve goals that are meaningful to them.

G2G was founded in 2009 right here in Central Oregon and has been growing ever since. Today, we serve hundreds of clients in the I/DD community and are proud to provide the highest level of service on their paths to independence.

If you want your career to make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors, please consider this opportunity. We are proud to provide the training, support, and positive culture you need to enable success both in your career and your clients' lives.

About The ILS Program:

The Independent Living Services (ILS) department helps our clients complete the daily tasks they need to meet their long-term goals. These skills typically include both technical skills, such as meal preparation, and soft skills, such as socializing.

About the role:

The Life Skills Coach is a hands-on, relationship-based role that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful life goals.

Your day-to-day may include household assistance, community outings, goal planning, and emotional support. Whether helping with groceries or encouraging clients to try new hobbies, your role is to empower independence—not to be an expert at everything, but to be a supportive partner in the journey.

Life Skills Coaches are expected to:

  • Build rapport and trust with clients
  • Provide transportation and support in the community
  • Help with household tasks
  • Offer guidance and encouragement during challenges

About You:

Due to the nature of our services, we are looking for a compassionate, passionate, and patient individual to help with services. Candidates must also show strong communication skills, be able to de-escalate situations, and exhibit strong professional boundaries.

All training for this role is provided after hire, but personal or professional experience with disabled individuals is a plus.

You must:

  • Have strong verbal communication skills
  • Be a creative and solution-oriented problem solver
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Have a valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle
  • Be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification (provided after hire)
