Job Description

Saint Joseph's Medical Center is seeking a full time Revenue Integrity Specialist in our Health Information Management Department. Will play a key role in reviewing documentation and coding processes to support accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and appropriate reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clinical staff to review and clarify documentation that may impact coding (e.g., missing or updated diagnoses, newly ordered tests, duplicative procedures.
• Liaise with coding and billing teams to provide clinical context and support accurate use of modifiers, CPT/HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes.
• Monitor trends in denials and remittance advice to proactively identify opportunities for documentation improvement and coding accuracy.
• Serve as a resource to educate providers and staff on the impact of documentation on revenue integrity.
• Assist in the implementation of workflows and process improvements that enhance documentation quality and reduce revenue leakage.
• Escalate complex clinical documentation or coding queries to appropriate subject matter experts as needed.

Education and Qualification Requirements

• Associates Degree in Health Information Management or Healthcare Administration
• Bachelors Degree Preferred
• CCS, CPC or other HIM Coding certifications strongly preferred.
