As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a prominent government location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. This position requires a valid driver's license, as driving is an essential part of the role. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.40 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client procedures. Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while maintaining a visible presence at access points. Support Allied Universal and client management with additional security-related tasks as assigned. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving responsibilities. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
