Job Description
The Service Technician is responsible for monitoring system status during treatment and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to support safe, reliable operation of PBT systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting, and works well as part of a team. Prior experience with these specific systems is not required — training will be provided.
This role requires flexibility, as schedules may evolve when the facility opens. Current shifts are 9 hours, and availability to work Saturdays is required. Key Responsibilities Monitor and support operational performance of the PBT system and overall patient experience Respond to service support calls in a timely and professional manner Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including detailed documentation (PMs, CMs, work orders) Troubleshoot complex system issues under the direction of Managers, Engineers, and Senior Technicians to maximize system uptime Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with team members to optimize efficiency and part usage Interface with internal teams and customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction Pack, unpack, inspect, test, and prepare incoming and outgoing materials, including large crates and boxes Transport materials between the loading dock and warehouse as needed Maintain accurate inventory documentation for parts and supplies Write and update site-specific preventive and corrective maintenance procedures Maintain 6S standards (Safety, Sort, Store, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) Complete timecards and service reports accurately and on time Work in compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including HIPAA, EH&S, FDA, OSHA Radiation Safety, and internal policies Step in to support team members when equipment issues arise Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience or education as a Technician or Field Service Engineer Experience in medical device or similar regulated environments preferred Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and piping diagrams Experience using electrical test and measurement tools (multimeters required; oscilloscopes preferred) Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly Comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team Ability to maintain focus and precision over extended periods Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Willingness to develop, improve, and follow procedures Flexible to support rotating schedules, overtime, and Saturday work as needed Self-motivated, reliable, respectful, and accountable Demonstrated desire to learn, grow, and build new technical skills Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here:This company offers growth and a great group of people to work with.
