About the Role

L.A. Gauge Company is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to ensure products are packaged, documented, and shipped accurately and on time. This role is responsible for coordinating shipping supplies, carriers, and documentation while working closely with production control, quality, and warehouse teams. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in shipping operations within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and request materials as needed.

• Schedule box building for shipments, tooling, or raw materials.

• Coordinate with quality inspection to ensure parts are identified, labeled, and stamped correctly.

• Work with the production control shipping commitment list to prepare and present shippable parts to customers.

• Coordinate with the warehouse Production Control Manager to select appropriate carriers and ensure accurate logistics.

• Stock all unshipped finished goods and maintain inventory accuracy.

• Conduct special inventories as requested by production control.

• Coordinate with raw materials and tooling departments to return or ship customer-owned items.

• Plan and organize the flow of shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

• Complete all required shipping documentation accurately and on time.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and carriers to resolve shipping or receiving issues.

• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of shipping and receiving experience (aerospace manufacturing preferred).

• Knowledge of customer packaging requirements


• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

• Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.

• Effective written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with quality, production control, and warehouse teams.

• Must be able to lift and/or push up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Able to squat, kneel, and step up and down on a regular basis.
