Tri Lakes Special Services Cooperative About Us: Tri Lakes Special Services Cooperative provides educational support to 18-member districts in Southwest Missouri. We are growing and need dynamic team members willing to travel to various member districts. We have a competitive compensation package and a 4-day work week.
Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. As an SLPA with us, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs and goals.
- Provide therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to improve communication.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, educators, and other professionals, to ensure educational benefit and progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, IEPs, and progress notes.
Qualifications: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP): - Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Clinical experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations preferred.
Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA): - Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Cinical experience working with communication disorders preferred.
Skills: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
