Tax Accountant - Hybrid

Salary: $85,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

Vaco client is aleading accounting, tax, and advisory firm serving closely held companies, family businesses, nonprofits, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals. The team is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their firm.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Tax Accountant with 2-4 years of public accounting experience to prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, support tax planning, and ensure compliance with current tax laws. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns

• Assist with client tax planning and compliance

• Research and interpret tax laws to provide accurate guidance

• Maintain tax records and support audits/reviews

• Communicate with clients on tax matters and planning opportunities

• Collaborate with colleagues across accounting and advisory services

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

• CPA/EA license or working toward certification strongly preferred

• 2-4 years of tax preparation & compliance experience in public accounting

• Strong knowledge of tax law and proficiency with tax prep software (UltraTax, ProSystem fx, etc.)

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
