Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hour shifts per week
\n• Maintain 1:5 patient ratios across all shifts
\n• 2 years of nursing experience required (Level I Trauma experience strongly preferred)
\n• Travel experience strongly preferred, but will consider candidates with 2+ years Level 1 experience
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC before submission)
\n• New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission
\n• Work weekends as needed (Saturday and Sunday days, Friday-Sunday nights)
\n• Floating to Pediatric ED is optional, floating to Adult PCUs is required based on staffing needs
\n• May float to ED Holding and Trauma departments as needed
\n• Approximately 60%-80% of Emergency Department patients are admitted
\n• Handle medication administration including IV medications using seven medication rights
\n• Work with daily census of 170-200 patients and approximately 175 visits per day
\n• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
\n• Black scrubs required (not provided by facility)
\n• Chart using Cerner system
\n• 24-hour orientation provided
\n• Guaranteed contracted hours with facility allowed to call off 3 times during 13-week assignment
\n• No on-call requirements

The Emergency Department features 53 rooms and 68 beds, handling comprehensive emergency care with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility is designated as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and maintains high standards for trauma and emergency care with specialized areas for trauma and triage.
