Start Date: 9/15
Assignment Length: 17 weeks
Schedule: 3x12s | Rotating Day/Evening/Night shifts
Coverage: Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge as needed

We are seeking an experienced Stepdown/PCU RN for a high-acuity neurosurgical unit. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong critical thinking skills and advanced neuro/ICU stepdown experience.
Key Responsibilities:
The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, delivers competent, evidence-based care and may function in an expanded capacity including preceptor, charge nurse, or unit committee participant.
Requirements:
MUST HAVE Stepdown/PCU experience
Active NY RN License
Minimum 2 years of experience
BLS (AHA only)
Telemetry experience
High-acuity neuro/stroke/neurosurgery experience required
Must be proficient in:
Q1 neuro checks
EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains
3% NS and Cardene drips
Arterial lines
Carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coils/clips
DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator)
VP shunts and seizure management
