Job Description

We are seeking a freelance video production assistant to support the post-production of political and nonprofit video ads. This role would start off with 5-10 hours per month, but hours can increase as we near the end of the year and head into the 2026 election year. We're always interested in long-term engagements and have had freelancers we've worked with for multiple years. You will be responsible for:

• Editing short-form video content in a variety of styles for a variety of platforms (primarily YouTube and Meta);
• Assisting in the post-production process, including editing and reviewing footage using Adobe Premiere Pro;
• Organizing and delivering final edited video assets for various platforms;
• Making potential post-release edits.

Must-have qualifications:

• A solid understanding of video editing and designing for accessibility;
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work quickly and turn projects around at short notice;
• Availability during normal business hours;
• Ability to prioritize and self-manage deadlines and project milestones;
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
• Passion, integrity and energy.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Background in politics, fundraising, or advocacy preferred but not required;
• 2+ years experience freelancing full-time.

Pay rate for this role is $30-40/hour and increases depending on experience. Supporting your team on some nights and weekends as we approach high-volume times such as elections may be required.
