Pension Analyst

PeopleShare has a full-time direct hire opening with a client in Mt. Laurel, NJ that specializes in pension plans for unions and other clients. We are looking for someone that has worked with pensions previously, strong math skills to calculate pension benefits, and can work with formulas in Microsoft Excel.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pension Analyst to join our team. This position is responsible for performing pension calculations for participants of the ICU/CWA Negotiated Pension Plan, IBEW Local 98 Pension Fund, and several other pension funds administered by our office. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, conducting research, and solving analytical puzzles related to individuals' work histories.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate pension benefits for plan participants with accuracy and consistency
• Perform repetitive math-based tasks related to pension formula applications
• Conduct data research to verify employment history and eligibility
• Analyze member records and resolve discrepancies
• Utilize intermediate to advanced Excel skills to manage and process data
• Apply problem-solving and "detective work" to fit decades of work history into pension rules and formulas

Qualifications

• Strong math skills and comfort with repetitive calculations
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to research and interpret data
• Prior experience in benefits administration, pensions, or accounting is a plus but not required
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
