Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Scientist to expand their capacity to build and scale advanced ML models that drive real-time intelligence and operational decision-making. You’ll be part of a small, senior team with high visibility and ownership. This is a hands-on role where you’ll move fast, solve complex problems, and help push the boundaries of what ML can do in a mission-critical SaaS product.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, update, improve, and maintain a suite of ML models used by enterprise clients.
• Research, design, and prototype ML models that drive insights across customer data.
• Develop new strategies to use ML to further business goals.
• Collaborate with product and backend teams to ship ML-driven features directly into the SaaS platform.
• Design and develop ML models to extract, classify, and rank metadata signals from large-scale datasets.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of ML models: from prototyping → training → evaluation → deployment → monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with the existing ML engineer to increase development velocity.
• Explore and implement new ways to apply ML science to real-world business goals.
• Stay current on ML trends and evaluate how to apply them for strategic advantage.
• Contribute meaningfully to the team’s technical vision and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6-9+ years of machine learning experience, applied data science, resarch or similar. 
• Proven experience creating and deploying ML systems at scale.
• A strong academic background in machine learning, computer science, or a related field (MS or PhD preferred but not required), or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• Must be local to the Philadelphia area and available in King of Prussia office for a few days a week.
• Strong ability to deliver, solve, and iterate in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience in data-heavy domains such as banking, data intelligence, insurance, anti-fraud, or security is preferred.
• Python preferred, but not a dealbreaker for exceptional ML talent.
• Big bonus: You’ve published papers or contributed to the ML community through talks or writing.
